Joel Diaz, Jr.
-
Joel Diaz, Jr. is a Palmdale, CA resident and standout amateur fighter and is an exciting addition to the Boxing 360 family. Diaz began boxing at the age of nine when his father took him to the gym. He took to it immediately and has been boxing at a high level ever since. A top amateur (85-10), who fought his way all the way to the qualifying rounds of the Beijing Olympic Trials. Diaz turned professional in July of 2010 against Rene Torres. It could not have gone better.
Diaz was all over Torres right from the start and took the first round decisively. But in the second, Diaz found out he had brought something special to the pro ranks. To go with his crowd pleasing style, Diaz brings one punch knockout power and he brought it to Torres in the form of a left hook that dropped him for the count.
Diaz has a bright future ahead of him and we are pleased to be a part of his journey.
