After turning professional last year with three knockouts in three wins, super middleweight Travis Peterkin returns tonight at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York. Peterkin, a slick southpaw out of Brownsville, NY was a successful amateur, winning the 2009 DC Golden Gloves and the 2010 NY Golden Gloves. Once ranked 7 in the country, Travis has been boxing his whole life and feels he was born to do this.
In this fourth fight of his career, Travis takes on Steven Tyner, 2-2-1 with 2 knockouts. Tyner is very successful taking out undefeated prospects so this will be an appropriate challenge to see where Peterkin is in his development as a boxer.
